This is a song about bonding, it was written for a wedding ceremony, and now I turned it into a song.
This version is a work in progress, and may be the only recording in this state.
Ansiktsløs, ærlig;
Allvis åpen.
Møtes i mørke,
Mildhet maner.
Galder jeg gjør,
Galder jeg gir.
Sevjens sødme,
Skogens kraft,
Muldens
myke makt.
Mening maner,
Mørke sanger.
Skimter i skodde varg,
Skimter i skodde, vei.
Galder jeg gjør,
Galder jeg gir.
Svaner i svev
Skimrende hvite.
Søker sammen,
Ser flammen.
Terner tre
troskaps pant.
Hegner om hjemmet,
Hammen lar falle.
Galder jeg gjør,
Galder jeg gir

I BELIEVE IN MUSIC AS A CROSS
CULTURAL GLOBAL LANGUAGE
Music moves.
Music speaks, and music is like a language that expresses things spoken words can not.
It is a multilanguage that all human beings can understand no matter what culture, religion, or region you come from.
I compose for theatre, movies, and live performances, and I perform on stage both solo and other projects....more
This might be my favourite of Heilung. They've improved a bit on their later releases but their debut is still much meaner, and darker. Maria's amazing voice obviously steals the show but I also quite like Kai's too, especially on the live performance. In fact I'd say get LIFA over this IMO.
The spoken word bits are really cool to hear proto-germanic in use but for relistening purposes they are going to be a bit obtrusive. Nevertheless the proper music here is on continual repeat for me. Rabbit

Absolutely one of the best Germanic folk albums ever made. The passion and range behind the vocals of each of Gealdýr's songs is immediately evident and perhaps unrivaled in this genre. Listening to this feels like you're confronting a Seer who sings somberly of an impending doom in Ragnarök, mourning what is to be lost yet still in awe of the sheer magnitude of the end. If Sól was Gealdýr's Muspelheim, then Eptir Ragnarök is his Nifelheim: each an inverse of the other in mood, but not quality. Rúnatal
